Expertise:
Professor Miles has engaged in wind-related efforts of various sorts since 1998. He established the Virginia State-Based Anemometer Loan Program in 2002 that has served over 30 locations throughout the Commonwealth and was a founder member of the Virginia Wind Energy Collaborative and the Virginia Coastal Energy Research Consortium. His expertise is in wind measurements and data analysis, siting assessments, sensor development and applications, and education/outreach/training.
